Γενική Ταχυδρομική. The second Greek lane.

Geniki Taxydromiki is a Greek domestic network we hold a direct account with, and it is the second door lane our rating service can reach for. Having two means no single depot, strike or island schedule decides whether a Greek order arrives.

What we do

We pack your order and ship it
across Greece, from our Patras despatch, cash collected at the door, on whichever domestic lane wins the parcel.

Every Greek order leaves our Patras warehouse on an account of ours - we book the shipment, we pay the bill and we chase the exception. Geniki Taxydromiki is one of the two domestic lanes that decision can reach for, and the parcel goes on whichever meets the date. You get a voucher number the moment it is scanned, and it tracks on taxydromiki.com like any other Geniki parcel. Because it is one.

Why the carrier matters

A late parcel is not an apology. It is a number on your account.

01

Skroutz shows a delivery date, and holds you to it

A Greek buyer starts at Skroutz, and the listing they compare carries a delivery estimate and a seller rating built out of whether that estimate held. The carrier is what decides it. We despatch same day from Patras onto a lane that scans, so the date on the listing is a date we can keep.

02

Two domestic lanes is a resilience decision

One national courier is one depot, one strike and one bad week away from a delivery date you cannot keep, and a marketplace does not care whose fault it was. Holding a second account means the parcel moves to the lane that is working that morning, and the seller rating never finds out.

03

On your own store there is nobody else to blame

A marketplace absorbs the complaint. Your own storefront does not: a buyer with no tracking number phones you instead. We give every order a voucher number the hour it is scanned, and a person in Patras who can chase it.

The network behind it

The floor your parcel leaves from. One building, in Patras.

A warehouse aisle stocked with boxed DNA performance filters Two colleagues reviewing the support workload in the Patras meeting room, the numbers on the wall screen behind them A colleague presenting to the room during a TPL offsite A support agent on a headset resolving marketplace claims across two screens A colleague walking the room through a performance dashboard during a TPL offsite A TPL picker pulling a boxed order from the racking, pick list in hand The operations team around the meeting table in Patras for a last-mile review Two colleagues side by side in the operations office Hands wrapping an order in bubble wrap at the packing bench
How the carrier gets chosen

We rate the parcel. Then we book the lane.

Every parcel we pick is priced across every carrier account we hold, at the moment it is packed, against the delivery date the customer was promised. The carrier that meets the date at the lowest landed cost wins the parcel. That decision runs on our own rating service, wired into the warehouse system, and it runs on every order rather than on a rule someone set once.

This is the part a manufacturer is buying. Not a discount on a rate card, and not one carrier held up as the answer, but a despatch decision taken per parcel with our contracts behind it. Geniki Taxydromiki is one of the accounts that decision can reach for.

The lanes we book

What we run through Geniki Taxydromiki.

01

Geniki domestic

Door delivery across the Greek mainland and the islands from our Patras despatch, booked when our rating service makes it the lane that meets the date.

02

Cash on delivery

The courier collects the money at the door and remits it to us. Our finance ledger books it under pay-on-delivery and treats the balance as a receivable, exactly as it does for the other domestic lane.

Why it matters

What a Geniki Taxydromiki account buys the brand we sell for.

01

Cash on delivery is not optional in Greece

A real share of Greek buyers will not pay online, and a lane that cannot take cash at the door simply loses those orders. This one can, and the money comes back to us as a tracked receivable rather than as a promise.

02

A second account is what makes the first one honest

A rating service with one domestic carrier in it is not rating anything. Two accounts means every Greek parcel is a comparison at the moment it is packed, and the lane that wins it has to earn it on the date and the landed cost.

03

Patras is a despatch advantage

We pack and hand over in Patras, which puts our parcels into the network half a day earlier than an Athens despatch of the same order. That half day is what turns a two-day promise into a next-day arrival.

Start

One email starts it. Let’s get your parcels moving.

Tell us what you sell and where in Greece it goes. We’ll tell you straight what a parcel costs to land from Patras, what the island schedule really is, and whether it should carry cash on delivery.

  1. 01

You send one email. Product, weight, where your buyers are.

  2. 02

We read it. No forms. No gatekeeping.

  3. 03

We rate it across both domestic accounts and every other one we hold. A landed cost, a delivery window, and a straight answer on cash on delivery.

Questions

Carrier questions we get asked.

Where do I find my Geniki voucher number?

It is the number printed on the label on the parcel, and it is in the despatch email we send when the order leaves Patras. If you have an order number from us and no voucher, contact us and we will look it up on our account.

Can I pay cash when the courier arrives?

Yes, where the storefront you bought from offers cash on delivery. The courier takes the money at the door and remits it to us; nothing about that reaches your card.

Why does my order sometimes ship on ACS instead?

Because we rate every parcel across both domestic accounts at the moment it is packed and book the one that meets the promised date at the lowest landed cost. You are told which carrier it went on in the despatch email.
