Amazon Vine seeds a new listing with its first reviews, written by Amazon’s own trusted reviewers rather than a paid campaign or a customer who has not bought the product yet. We enrol eligible new ASINs so a listing has a review history before advertising spend starts pointing buyers at it.
Why a new listing needs Vine before it needs ads.
A listing with no reviews converts worse than the identical listing with a handful of honest ones. Vine is how that gap gets closed on a new ASIN, before the rest of the launch spends against it.

No. Vine reviews are honest reviews from Amazon’s trusted reviewer programme, not a guaranteed rating. That is what gives them weight with a buyer.
Does Vine replace organic reviews over time?
No. Vine seeds the first reviews on a new listing; organic reviews from paying customers continue to accumulate alongside and after it.
